In new-ways-to-feel-old news: Clueless came out 20 years ago in 1995. I was eight and this was on constant rotation with Toy Story and Pocahontas. Luckily for my parents, I was too oblivious to understand any references, like whatever.

This cult ‘90s movie made a lasting impression, inspiring terrifying fashion trends and launching a brand new vocabulary to the chagrin of English teachers everywhere, they were like, totally buggin’.

Clueless continues to inspire today from Iggy Azalea’s Fancy video

to a resurgence of updated ‘90s fashion in the collections of Alexander Wang, Roberto Cavalli, Saint Laurent, and Maison Margiela.

What has really merged itself into the hearts and minds of our culture, however is the unforgettable vocabulary of Cher and the gang. We’ve merged the now classic lines of Clueless with some classic works of art.

And the most important piece of wisdom that Cher Horowitz has bestowed upon us is to NEVER compare yourself to a Monet
