Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay, Sierra moved to the UK to get her Master’s in English Literature, where she did her best to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a modern-day Brontë sister. Now she lives in Oregon, where she’s doing essentially the same thing (only with more trees). She’s a total homebody, and when she isn’t buried in a book or busy listening to one of her favorite podcasts, she likes to spend her free time tutoring English, baking excessive amounts of cookies, and getting to know the neighborhood cats.

What is your favorite museum?

The Art Institute of Chicago—I’m especially obsessed with the Thorne Miniature Rooms.

Where is your happy place?

On a train, in a classroom, or staying up too late because I can't bring myself to put down the book I'm reading.

What is your secret talent?

Opening jars.

What’s the weirdest job you ever had?

Making chocolate-dipped frozen bananas to be sold at a Renaissance Fair (my workplace was my friend’s neighbor’s living room...I’m not entirely sure that it was legal).
