Bay Area born and raised, Samantha said peace to the Bay and moved away to Oregon for college. She's lived all over from Eugene to Siena, Italy to San Francisco, and now officially calls San Jose, California home. Samantha is an arts museum administrator having worked at a variety of institutions. An art historian by passion, and museum professional by fate, her mission is to pull back the curtain of the mystical museum world and bring the transformative power of art to the masses.

Who would you want to paint your portrait?

I would want my portrait taken by Robert Mapplethorpe. His ability to capture the essence of the model is so evident in all of his portraiture. I believe he would be able to capture my spirit.

If you could pull off a heist, what would you steal?

The missing sections of the Parthenon Frieze that are illegally owned by the British Museum. I would personally transport them back to Athens.

What pets have you had?

I'm a proud mother of two rats.
