You can’t miss the Frida Kahlo building. It is a luminous blue, which matches the vibrant artist's personality perfectly.

This museum is actually the house where Kahlo was born, lived most of her life, and died in. If her spirit is still around, I would put money on it that she is kickin' it around these corridors. This is also the house where her and Diego Rivera lived together when they were occasionally on good terms.

This museum is filled with more than just Kahlo's art; it also contains artifacts from her life, including her jewelry, books, and dolls amongst other things. This museum gives a very personal account of her turbulent life and her strenuous relationship with Rivera. His hat, jacket and work boots still sit his room and can be viewed by the public. I guess he earned the right to leave his stuff lying around since he paid off her family’s mortgage on the house when they could no longer afford it.

Casa de Kahlo became a common meeting place for members of the Communist Party in the 1930s. Leon Trotsky even stayed when he was exiled from Europe. Presumably this is where his and Kahlo's notorious affair went down. Today, it is one of the most commonly visited museums in Mexico, and one of Sartle's favorite colorful haunts.

The Frida Kahlo Museum (Spanish: Museo Frida Kahlo), also known as the Blue House (La Casa Azul) for the structure's cobalt-blue walls, is a historic house museum and art museum dedicated to the life and work of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. It is located in the Colonia del Carmen neighborhood of Coyoacán in Mexico City. The building was Kahlo's birthplace, the home where she grew up, lived with her husband Diego Rivera for a number of years, and where she later died in a room on the upper floor. In 1957, Diego Rivera donated the home and its contents to turn it into a museum in Frida's honor.

The museum contains a collection of artwork by Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and other artists along with the couple's Mexican folk art, pre-Hispanic artifacts, photographs, memorabilia, personal items, and more. The collection is displayed in the rooms of the house which remains much as it was in the 1950s. It is the most popular museum in Coyoacán and one of the most visited in Mexico City.
