Egon Schiele discovers that painting women wearing pants is ok!

Sometimes called "Sitting Woman with Legs Drawn Up" and every other variation describing the act of sitting and the position of her legs you can think of. In German it's "Sitzende Frau mit hochgezogenem Knie." But don't ask me how to pronounce it.

As far as I could tell the model is his wife Edith Harms, who he married for money. Google however, says that it's Adele, Edith's sister . . . so make of that what you will! Though some suspect that this is actually his former lover, Valerie “Wally” Neuzil, who left him two years before this portrait was done. Apparently, Schiele thought Wally would be totally cool with him marrying another woman and having a bit on the side. Wally said "no way, Jose!" and got the hell out of Dodge.

Edith may have been granted pants in the painting, but they are so thin she's rocking a serious camel toe. Or Schiele really wanted to paint Wally's vag without pissing off his wife.

Like a good ginge she's wearing a nice, deep green shirt, which perfectly contrasts her red hair.
